Slipknot’s Jay Weinberg re-creates photographs of assembly band as a child with well-known dad Max
It’s no secret that drummer Jay Weinberg resides his dream. After being an enormous fan of Slipknot as a child, the stickman is now a member of the band, and he not too long ago acknowledged his exceptional state of affairs by re-creating photographs of his well-known dad, Max Weinberg, introducing him to Slipknot guitarist Jim Root again within the day.
Because the story goes, Jay found the band by his dad, who famously is the drummer in Bruce Springsteen & The E Road Band and was the bandleader on The Late Present with Conan O’Brien. When Jay was a pre-teen, he wore Corey Taylor’s dreadlocked masks from the band’s Iowa period whereas assembly Slipknot backstage along with his dad at a present within the early 2000s.
At Friday’s present at PNC Financial institution Arts Heart in New Jersey, Jay, Max, and Jim Root re-created the photograph, this time with Jay sporting his personal Slipknot uniform and masks, and Max hamming it up a bit for the digicam. Together with posting the unique and new photographs on Twitter (see beneath), Jay wrote, “Time is a flat circle.”
Jay joined Slipknot in 2014 after the band had parted methods with longtime drummer Joey Jordison, however his id wasn’t revealed till followers figured it out. It turned out Jay carried out all of the drum tracks on the band’s 2014 album, .5 The Grey Chapter. The band launched their newest album, We Are Not Your Sort, final month.

Slipknot’s reference to The Late Present with Conan O’Brien doesn’t finish with Jay Weinberg. The late-night TV present famously lampooned the masked band with a recurring sketch that includes The Slipnutz, a singing trio who would at all times slip on some nuts (watch beneath).
