Althea Gibson Statue Unveiled At U.S. Open
Althea Gibson, the primary Black tennis participant to win a Grand Slam singles title (French Championships, 1956), was honored Monday by the US Tennis Affiliation (USTA) with the revealing of a sculpture exterior Arthur Ashe Stadium.
