Supergroup Deadland Ritual launch new single “Damaged and Bruised”: Stream
Black Sabbath bassist Geezer Butler’s supergroup Deadland Ritual have shared a brand new single, “Damaged and Bruised”, the second in a collection of songs the band plans to launch — with a potential album within the works for the longer term. Watch the video for the monitor under.
Alongside Butler is a lineup of veteran musicians together with vocalist Franky Perez (Apocalyptica, Scars on Broadway), drummer Matt Sorum (Weapons N’ Roses, Velvet Revolver) and guitarist Steve Stevens (Billy Idol).
The band was fashioned by Butler after Black Sabbath’s closing tour in 2017. As he advised Rolling Stone that 12 months, he had “about 120 riffs written down and I’ve simply obtained to select a guitarist and kind via them.” They releases their first single, “Down in Flames”, earlier this 12 months.
Produced by Greg Fidelman, “Damaged and Bruised” is a delicate amalgamation of the band members’ numerous types and musical paths, constructing from Butler’s doomy, descending bass line as Perez coos with an nearly country-ish twang.
