Six-Yr-Previous Woman Arrested In Florida For Throwing Tantrum

A six-year-old in Orlando, Florida was reportedly arrested after she threw a tantrum at Lucious and Emma Nixon Elementary Constitution Faculty.

The younger woman’s grandmother, Meralyn Kirkland, is outraged that her granddaughter Kaia was taken to a juvenile detention heart by a faculty useful resource officer. In response to WFLA, a faculty worker reportedly grabbed Kaia’s wrists, which induced her to lash out and kick her legs. She was then handcuffed and transported to the Juvenile Evaluation Middle in Orlando on a battery cost.

Kirkland, in disbelief, stated Kaia has a sleeping dysfunction which causes her to generally act erratically. In response to her, the officers didn’t imagine her.

“She has a medical situation that we’re engaged on getting resolved and he says, ‘What medical situation, she has a sleep problem, sleep apnea?’ And he says, ‘Properly, I’ve sleep apnea and I don’t behave like that.’”

Upon arrival on the detention heart, Kirkland says her granddaughter was fingerprinted and even had a mugshot taken. 

“They instructed us we needed to wait a couple of minutes as a result of Kaia was being fingerprinted, and when she stated fingerprinted it hit me like a ton of bricks,” Kirkland described. “No six-year-old youngster ought to have the ability to inform any person that they’d handcuffs on them they usually have been using behind a police automotive and brought to a juvenile heart to be fingerprinted.”

Whereas Kaia has returned house, Kirkland says she’s required to report back to court docket on October 16, and if she doesn’t, a warrant can be issued for her arrest.
