“I actually need to work with 6lack. We have been speaking about it. There are simply so many wonderful [artists]. 6lack, Fortunate Daye, Ari Lennox. I have been on Ari, she’s so dope. H.E.R. This different lady, Child Rose. She’s so dope.”

She added, “I am open to collaborations. I am open to reveals and simply bringing again that complete ‘girls first’ kind of [vibe]. We’d like that. Particularly our ladies want that. They should see solidarity amongst girls – Black girls – they usually want messaging that is additionally going to uplift them and assist them… [Like] ‘Brown Pores and skin Woman’!”

So far as her ideas on the present state of R&B music, Elle likened its growth to that of an R&B Renaissance, whereas emphasizing the significance of the style’s visibility and recognition within the pop world.
