The BBC has admitted their embarrassment at having to fly a reporter to see local weather brat Greta Thunberg, as a result of they didn’t have time to journey by boat or practice.

Sarah Sands, editor of BBC Radio four’s In the present day programme, admits it ‘felt awkward’
Placing a presenter on a flight to Sweden to fulfill local weather activist Greta Thunberg “felt awkward”, the editor of BBC Radio four’s In the present day programme has admitted.
The 16-year-old campaigner, who was a visitor editor on a particular version of the present, avoids air journey due to its environmental impression.
The BBC despatched presenter Mishal Husain on a return flight to Stockholm to interview her.
Programme editor Sarah Sands advised the Sunday Instances: “We did focus on that amongst ourselves. It felt awkward however we didn’t have the time for trains or boats.”

I don’t perceive why the BBC feels so uncomfortable. Extinction Revolt tells us it’s OK for celebrities to fly, as a result of they’re trapped by the system. And Greta flew a minimum of 4 boat crew throughout the Atlantic to assist sail her non-recyclable plastic boat, to keep away from a single transatlantic flight for herself.
So loads of local weather hypocrisy throughout. I doubt the BBC’s local weather hypocrisy actually stands out from everybody elses.
