Angie McMahon proclaims debut album, Salt, shares “And I Am a Girl”: Stream

Australia’s Angie McMahon has introduced her debut full-length effort, Salt. Due out July 26th through Dualtone/AWAL Information, the hassle follows March’s A Couple of Songs EP.

Numerous tracks off the file have already been revealed, together with “Pasta”, “Lacking Me”, “Preserving Time”, and “Gradual Mover”. As we speak, McMahon is giving us one other sprint of Salt with “And I Am a Girl”. The tune is a sluggish burning however targeted struggle with perceptions and understanding of gender equality. There are all this stuff that our society teaches us about our bodies, areas, decisions, emotions, security, that we’ve got to query and unlearn and do higher with. Generally I can’t articulate my disappointment and my anger, and I need to do higher at expressing myself in the case of the language of equality and alter.

I beloved penning this, as a result of I didn’t have to carry something in.”
