Of the brand new track, Mathlouthi mentioned in a press launch:

The world wants rescuing, proper? We have to rescue our senses as a result of they’ve been harm. They hold us from being fully evil. They allow us to awaken by poetry and artwork. They join us to one another and make sense of our objective. This track is like daybreak the place you can begin seeing the primary rays of sunshine. It’s a second to revive energy.

All over the place We Seemed Was Burning is the follow-up to Mathlouthi’s sophomore album Ensen, which got here out in 2017. Again in March, Mathlouthi shared “Footsteps,” the lead single from her new LP.

All over the place We Seemed Was Burning was recorded within the Catskill Mountains, London, and France. It was co-produced by Steve Moore (Zombi) and Ryan Seaton, and was combined by Chris Tabron (Beyoncé, Widespread, the Strokes) and Marta Salogni (the xx, Björk, Frank Ocean). The origins of the album took root in Woodstock, the place Mathlouthi rented a home to “write about nature in addition to the sweetness and battle of those occasions.”
