Participant’s Coalition PSA Options Pupil Killed By Police

Philadelphia Eagles security Malcolm Jenkins and the Participant’s Coalition are persevering with their efforts to enhance neighborhood and police relations. 

On the heels of their latest City Corridor in Philadelphia, the coalition launched a Public Service Announcement (PSA) to coach soccer followers and lift consciousness in regards to the injustices affecting neighborhood and police relations in the US.

The PSA highlights a tragic incident that occurred on Oct. 17, 2010, in Mount Nice, NY.

20-year-old Danroy “DJ” Henry, the previous Tempo College soccer participant, was fatally shot by a police officer.

On the time of the incident, an all too acquainted story was being circulated by media shops. 

The police officer who killed Henry mentioned he was “threatened by DJ.” Nevertheless, witnesses got here ahead and mentioned the officer was the aggressor.  

Mount Nice officers supplied a public apology in 2017.
